Powered mixers
Powered mixers Mixers normally have pre-amps built-in. Microphones are plugged into the mixer with the XRL cable and the pre-amplifier boots the weak mic signal to line signal. Some mixers have only line level, others have mic input. Automatic mixers are problem solving devices that allow sound system installers to eliminate common problems such as insufficient gain before feedback and muddy speech quality.
