IP network cameras A network camera, which lets you monitor images over the Internet, is ideal for a variety of environments in offices, retail stores, children's nurseries, schools, prisons, warehouses, etc. You may be on holiday and want to know what is happening at your home or office in working hours or after working hours, especially when you are miles away on business trips or vacation. Regardless of time, day or night, using a PC connected to the Internet, you key in your camera's unique IP address on the PC's web browser, for instance, Internet Explorer. The network camera sends the images over the Internet and you are able to view these on the PC. You can then operate the camera from the PC, using pan, tilt and zoom, if the camera model you purchase has those features. You can also operate a network camera from your LAN network at your home-office or on your company's Intranet. You can even, if your cell phone connects to the Internet, view the images on your phone, whilst on the go. Network cameras can help businesses gain more customers, for instance, in children's nurseries, mums and dads could log-on to the nursery's password website and see what their children are doing.
