Multimedia projectors are also known as LCD projectors or
DLP projectors.
Multimedia projectors are designed to be used with desktop/notebook computers and video sources such
as DVD players, video recorders, video cameras. The computer or video image is
projected onto a large screen so that many people can see a computer presentation or movie
at the same time. For more information please read the
frequently asked questions or our multimedia
projectors article.
Wireless projectors
enable images and data to be sent from a computer to a projector
without a hard-wire connection. This enables presenters to walk
round the room without a trail of wires following them. For more
information and comparison chart please click here.
Wireless radio mice and keyboards
are just one of a range of projector accessories,
such as spare lamps, lenses,
flight cases, mounts,
stands and trolleys.
Projector screens are available for virtually every application
and need. For more information on screen sizes and fabrics please click here.
Projector screen comparison chart.
A projector lamp is supplied fitted with a new projector,
which for the average projector lasts around 2,000 hours.
For business use, using a projector 7 hours a day, 5 days a week,
the lamp should last over a year. Projector
lamps or projector bulbs as they are also referred to, should
always be allowed to cool down before switching off the projector as
this helps to prolong the life of the lamp. For more lamp tips
please click here. For a
comparison chart of projector lamps, please click here.
Document cameras
Document cameras or
visualisers are designed to be used with a multimedia projector so that
3-D or small objects can be viewed. Ideal for research libraries where
pages can be viewed without damaging books, museums, schools, science
and research labs for studying small objects, courtrooms where juries
can view evidence without handling same and in corporate environments
for studying prototypes and documents.
Microscopes Digital microscopes
allow magnified images to be captured and saved on PC. Digital
microscope software then lets you measure, edit, resize and distribute
your images or insert into PowerPoint or other documents. A digital
camera designed to fit over the eyepiece of traditional
microscopes lets you capture and save images.
Interactive products A projector can be connected to your laptop
and an interactive wireless
pads for interactive presentations.
Audio systems Sound systems including amplifiers and
speakers can be used to enhance your projected presentation. Audio
